About Kirk Michael
Kirk Michael is a village on the North West coast of the Isle of Man. It has a shop, post office, chemist, butchers, bank, church, pub that serves food and a petrol station/garage.
About half a mile from the village is Glen Wyllin with its glen, campsite, picnic area and children's play ground. There is a long sandy beach which can be accessed from the village or from Glen Wyllin.
Kirk Michael is an ideal base for walks such as the Raad ny Foillan (Road of the Gull) which goes around the island, or the disused railway line which runs from Peel to Ramsey.
About six miles away is the picturesque fishing port of Peel with shops and restaurants as well as a sandy beach, promenade and castle.
Kirk Michael is convenient for the North and West of the island and only about a 30 minute drive to the main town of Douglas.
